Recent trip to Ukraine

Independence Square has become the base camp for dozens of protesters who every night take it in turns to guard and maintain the occupation behind the barricades.

On a recent trip to Kiev I was able to experience some glimpses of the demonstrations against the government’s decision to not sign a key association agreement with the EU and at the same time strengthening relations with Russia.
